Child Thalassemia and the Mental Health of Their Caregivers

“Effect of Child Thalassemia on the Mental Health of Their Caregivers” study compares the mental effect of the caregivers of the thalassemic patients with caregivers of the non thalassemic patients.The study concluded that caregivers of thalassemic children have a higher incidence of depression and anxiety as compared to the caregivers of non-thalassemic children. So the author suggested that the healthcare provider and society can play their part to help these parents to cope up with their parenting stress.
